Pretty awesome, they’re doing it for free, everyone else would charge for sending in the device, especially after the first year warranty is over, or 3- 6 month warranty from some companies.

tf201 be gone.. i just got a 100% refund from amazon on the TFP i bough in Jan. what a POS that was with its wifi and bluetooth problems and its slow IO . i can go on forever. then i had to unlock the damn thing just to get a rom that wouldnt crash every 5 mins which means asus didnt care to fix my tablet anymore.. anyway i got a TF201 Dock for sale if anyone is interested….

I found their customer service to be good. I sent my TF101 in with a malfunctioning video and expected to receive another reconditioned unit in return. I received my original device back in less than 2 weeks, repaired and with all my data in place. And NO Charge.

I have two primes, both unlocked on first try. I still can’t find a tablet I would rather have. I will say that Asus is terrible at customer service.

I looked it up recently and it isn’t worth it. You are running linux on the tablet but you are using a server for basically a virtual desktop IIRC.

Took my Prime back to Best Buy, got the Note 10.1, haven’t looked back! The memory issues are hardware related and no software can fix the Prime and all the ANRs.

Unlocking usually doesn’t void the warranty.
It is usually states that it MAY void the warranty, if a hardware failure is caused by the problematic ROM.
most people stopped trying to unlocked after they read the words “void warranty”

I had the problem on gingerbread, but once I updated to ICS it was much worse. Good thing JB was designed around tegra 3, I’ll probably try to unlock mine so I can update it soon. JB doesn’t help wifi at all does it (I know the wifi issue is hardware, I’m just wishing)
