So I have (I thought) synced my online Google account with my G Nex and Nex 7. If I create or edit a contact on my PC, I can see them on my other two devices, but if I create or edit on the G Nex or the Nex 7, I cannot see them on my PC. What am I missing? Thanks!

I switched over to Google contacts to try and maintain some consistency and now I can’t setup custom ringtones for contacts. BLEH!

One annoyance with this on ICS is hitting “Done” in Step 7 apparently does nothing for a couple minutes while the phone does something in the background (I assume contact sync + disambiguation + automatic merging with Facebook/LinkedIn/Twitter profiles, etc.)

were they pics that were saved in contacts from a previous phone then transferred to another phone and were taken with a lesser quality camera then uploaded to a newer phone with better screen resolution?

facebook destroyed my contacts list 2 years ago and has never recovered since.

I’ve noticed that over time, in ICS my contact avatars have lost resolution, and become hazy. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also, it very much annoys me that you can’t filter out contacts without phone numbers in the people app.

I had some trouble merging contacts from my previous dumbphone wherein some ended up as two entries: “John Doe” and “Doe; John” (it actually cut off longer last names in the latter format). It wasn’t clear which order I had to join them in to keep the format I wanted. That was a minor annoyance.

The fact that the Phone app and the People app aren’t ONE app is kind of ridiculous. The fact that I can find Users on the Exchange server from the People app and NOT the Phone app is even more ridiculous.

i’m really impressed with the 2 way sync speed with contacts and your cloud places in which they are synced. I’m also really impressed with people using QR codes more and more for adding contacts quickly.

at parent teacher night….all the teachers were required to print poster size QR codes for people to scan (basic info – name, number, email, teacher website)
