Cool, they can give me $100 back on what I paid for the Galaxy S3 to replace my Bionic. I might actually consider buying another Motorola product then. When it comes to tech, Motorola is now in very close competition with Apple for #1 on my chit list. I won’t even have Quick Time on my computer.

I was reading up on how the Bionic is discontinued and found out that its possible to get Asurion (Verizon’s Insurance company) to send you a Razr replacement. My problem is I have a $70 extended battery on my Bionic so I wonder if I can swindle a Razr Maxx in the mix instead. Worth a try?

At the rate that Motorola is updating ( or NOT updating their Atrix line ) the Atrix HD won’t get the JB update either. Maybe we’ll get JB for Motorola on AT&T in time for the Atrix Maxx HD 3.5 Super-Ultra Megazord, but somehow I doubt it.

Moto did say they would update the Bionic as long as the contract life, which is 2 years. It is clear moto has dropped the ball with the Bionic’s future.

I want to know how long the $100 off deal will last.

Many people that purchased a phone in 2011 need to wait a while still before they can purchase a phone at the subsidized price (for the wife’s D3 that isn’t until March of 2013).

Maybe this will sound stupid, but if you have to trade in your phone for the 100 bucks, cant you just sell it on ebay with a 100 reserve and easily get at least a hundred bucks on ebay for your device.

I’m glad someone else noticed the hidden message. My phone is barely a year old, most likely not in line for JB (hasn’t even seen ICS yet), and my consolation is $100 off a $700 phone. You’d think they’d at least support it for the 2 years we signed the contract for. I’m eyeballing the new Nexuses myself, but haven’t counted the Maxx HD out yet.

Same here. I was thinking about abandoning Moto outright, but I won’t count them out just yet. That new Maxx HD sounds very enticing.
