i have a galaxy s3 so no reason to buy a new phone already but if i needed to buy one id get the dev phone under the consideration that it till carried some sort of warranty and it was released at the same time as the regular phone… after all i am 4G LTE Unlimited f0 LIFE so im pay full retail anyway…

Depends on what the next 6 months holds (for me at least). If I had a job I’d be tempted to buy the dev edition of the HD MAXX (if there even is one) but I want to see what the next Nexus devices are just so I don’t have buyer’s remorse

You cannot restore system files without root. I’ve never used the app you mentioned, but I would guess that it only backs up apps and data.
