Didn’t Motorola just come out with a statement saying something along these lines “We are going to not release as many phones as we did in the past, but instead focus on just releasing a few high quality phones every year”. Well, unless these three are it for the rest of the year, including the others released, well they are not holding true to their word. Plus, really, the Razr Maxx HD? They come out with a phone, then not too long after, they release an HD version of that phone. There really is no point in buying the Droid Razr M, because there is a darn good chance that they will release the Droid Razr M HD, not too long afterwards. Which I’m sure will be joined by the Droid Razr Maxx HD Director’s Cut Special Edition Extended Cut. Motorola has gone insane, they used to release a select few super awesome phones. Now they just over-saturate their own market.

I use the latest Bugless Beast (9/4) and the stock kernel that comes with it. I can easily get a full day out of the 2100mah battery. Think of what you can do with the 3850.

what ROM are us using, and 4G and other settings etc? My dad can’t seem to get through an entire day with the 3850mAh Seidio battery, and I have him on the Vicious CM10 kang ROM, granted he does use his phone for actual calls and business etc more probably than the average user

They do for me, at least two days. Install franco.Kernel or LeanKernel and you’ll get multiple days on one charge using a Seidio battery on the Verizon LTE model. I’ve run tests on mine.

I am happy to see the RAZR HD come with a 2500mAh battery at the minimum. This should really be just high enough for most people who were unsatisfied with the original RAZR’s battery life to not need to spring for a 3300mAh battery.

Except that simply won’t happen. The previous RAZRs came out less than a month after ICS. These RAZRs are coming out a few months after Jelly Bean.

The iPhone 4 to 4s was a giant leap. Sure they looked the same, but the A4 to A5 (A5 is still on top of the market in performance), double the RAM (which iOS obviously needs much less of as it runs much better than my beloved Galaxy Nexus or GS3), 5 to 8 mp camera (which the mega pixel does not give the camera justice as the iPhone 4s still has by far the best mobile camera on the market and most wont argue that), and Siri (say what you will and I try to love Google Now, but it just isn’t half as polished as Siri). This is not to mention the build quality which is still one of, if not the best on the market and the display (although too small) is still probably the best display on the market.

With all that said how again was Apple getting away with mediocre updates? They release a phone a year (the 4s came out almost 16 months after the 4) and still the market is playing catch up. People need to stop denying that the iPhone is not a strong contender that make top of the line hardware and software.

and Motorola hasnt come out with minor improvements? Take a look at the Droid 3 -> Droid Bionic -> Droid Razr -> Droid Razr MAXX -> Droid 4 -> and now these new phones that should have been released last year when the Galaxy Nexus launched. Outside of the processor (which really is still just playing catch up to the competition and we have rumored phones right around the corner with Exynos and Snapdragon dual cores and then the monster dual core A15s out soon after that) and the battery are just basically what Google released last year. This is what happens when you fall behind and Moto has fallen way behind

It is a good thing the original RAZRs didnt have 720p displays (like they really should have, especially the MAXX) or else these would be more underwhelming. At least they are promised Jelly Bean by the end of the year though, so that is a major plus. But I won’t be making a decision to decide what next phone I buy in December until after HTC’s announcement or the next Nexus.
It also didn’t help that the RAZR HDs didn’t come with at least 2GB of RAM either. Even though they look beautiful (unlike most Motorola phones, and not including the RAZR M) and the batteries are tempting, it would still be hard to recommend these over the Galaxy S3 for that reason alone.

Motorola still needs to be taken out and put out of its misery. Thats just my humble opinion. Too many years of lackluster phones, locked bootloaders, underperforming and buggy software, and treating their customers like trash.

Yea the only good thing about this phone release it that they aren’t screwing over any customers by releasing the RAZR HD and then the RZR MAXX HD a few weeks later. Unless of course they release the SUPR RAZR MAXX HD with the S4 Pro Processor and 2 GB of RAM in a couple of weeks haha.
