Yes, why the hell aren’t they pulling in NextBus data or better yet reach their own agreement with transit agencies so that they can get direct access to the GPS data the NextBus does.

Yes, in my experience this touted feature of Google Now doesn’t really work. This was actually the thing I was most excited about. It never realizes when I’m at a bus stop or BART station (SF Bay Area). Maybe they only tested it on CalTrain and SamTrans, which are local to the GooglePlex.

Google Now says it can give you alerts when near or at a transit station. But when I am standing at the metro (subway train) stops here in DC it does nothing. Will this improve that?

I hope they fixed the GPS fix issue that happened in the last update. My maps and navigation have been useless since they fubar’d it up.

They need to do a better job of pulling in live transit data rather than just having the schedule. Chicago publishes this data, and a number of third-party apps use it, but Google Maps and Google Now seem to just use the scheduled time.
