Used to be a crack flasher until I flashed ParanoidAndroid; i’m addicted to different DPIs for different functions of the phone. Any way I can get the “Paranoid Settings” in a different ROM…. Like this ROM… (i know how to just change DPI, this is different though)

Hi … I’m getting ready to flash BAMF (Looks Awesome by the way) will the “Custom” GApps cause update issues later on?
There is mention later in this thread that you use a custom signing key, I remember having an issue with a ROM on my OG Droid that included a launcher with a custom key and I could never get the official updates for that launcher, I’d always get a signing key mismatch error.

Make sure you’re holding both the volume up and down keys when you turn the phone on, so it’ll go into fastboot mode instead of odin mode (odin mode is accessed by holding just the volume down key, for anyone that’s confused or interested). From there you can boot into CWM by choosing Recovery mode.

Ran in to a problem, I flashed right from the Clockwork recovery app, and it booted me directly in to BAMF ROM before I could flash the GAPPs.zip I am now having a problem getting the market and what not going so I can restore my back ups. I manually rebooted in to recovery mode, but is is odin and saying downloading. Anyone know how to get out of this mess?

Always clean install. With titanium backup there is no reason not to. With any ROM you should follow these steps to get a proper install
In cwm recovery…
1. Make backup
2. Wipe data/factory reset
3. Wipe cache
4. Advanced >wipe dalvik cache
5. Install ROM
6. Install gapps if not baked in

Stick to this and avoid half the problems you read about in the forums for the ROM
