I have both an iPhone and an HTC Android device. There are real pros and cons on either side in my view. Android is coming on leaps and bounds though.

Haha same here. I didn’t even plan on buying a smartphone but in I walked into the Verizon store one day (for a phone issue) and ended up playing with the OG Droid. Simply put, I was blown away. It’s been a memorable experience ever since.

i went from samsung rogue (crappy immitation of a smart phone) to thunderbolt. wife and i switched around launch of TB. why?
i wanted 4G. so iPhone was out for me. wife could have went iPhone, but thought the 4G was better too.

I am flash happy, but my personal take is that unless you have the files to return to stock .. it just isn’t worth it with a locked bootloader. However, once that bootloader unlocks (it will eventually, probably by way of Samsung themselves) it is game on. I think stock on the S3 is pretty sweet, although no one on VZW is going to see a Jelly Bean update to the S3 for months and months.

same here. but these are new converts, so entry barrier is lower. guess the lumia 900 did well, assuming new converts (from feature phones) looked at the shell colors and liked the design.

Og droid 1st to Gnex, still have never used gingerbread. I went from froyo to ics and a 215mb processor to 1.2 gb. It was like going from original star trek to TNG. Android, Make It So!

My first phone was an OG Droid. 8 Android devices later I’m rocking Jellybean on a SGS3. Thanks Tim-o-Tato for using my Sport and Doc picture again. If you want I could send you a Mobley or Schemer pic? If anybody wants to buy a Sport or Doc they’re still available!

I went from my basic phone to a Droid X to the OG Droid (liked the keyboard and root abilities) to the Thunderbolt (4G) to the Galaxy Nexus. My Dad has my Droid X and is considering upgrading to my old Thunderbolt, thoughts?

Actually the funny thing is my first smartphone was the HTC 8925 AKA THE HTC KAISER AKA AT&T TILT AKA HTC TYTN-II, not to be confused with the HTC Titan II that just came out. It was a winmo 6.0 device that got upgraded to 6.1 and then I flashed 6.5 on it right before getting an iPhone 3G
