Not sure, but that would be my guess. If they want the OUYA to be gamer’s “dream” console, they really do need to have Cloud support. 8GB space just isn’t enough, although I’m sure you can use a big 16GB or 32GB thumb drive though. I hope.

So I backed this project but the system is coming out next year. This game doesn’t launch until 2015? That’s a bit of gap in time. Will the system still be viable as a gaming machine by then?

Every console can find a way to use that excuse, it still sucks for customers. And they have some awesome options here.

Build console-quality games that you can run on your Ouya or your tablet, and cloud sync between them. The controls would obviously be superior on the Ouya, but it would provide cross-compatibility between console and mobile, and provide those who wanted to play it simply on a tablet an option.

They need some type of gimmick at first to introduce a new game system and try to get people into it. I mean they have to compete in an already large but established game market.
