Are things so bad at Motorola that they can’t figure out how to unlock the bootloader on their own phones? I call BS, they know how to do it, they just want to appease their carrier overlords and sell more phones.

They already lied when they said they’d unlock their bootloaders by the end of last year. Not a single phone was unlocked.

If moto released a device/devices in the US with an unlocked bootloader like the original droid it would sell like crazy. I do not understand why moto does not see this and no I’m not talking about just the techies, more and more people like moto phones but are turned off by blur and the other issues. I would like to see a moto nexus, that would really be a device that would get the developers going crazy for.

Just like the bionic among others would be unlocked. Anything moto says you know the opposite is going to happen.

I have to agree, Samsung was bad back in the day, but they have cleaned up their act ever since the Galaxy series. You should give them another chance. Im glad I did.
