Many many people would be surprised if the next iPhone drops before September/October. Verizon definitely wants their shared data plans in place when they push out their big summer releases, at the very latest for “Back to School” in August.

The S4 processor is most certainly current-gen, as its the only processor currently available (or even announced) running on the latest ARM A15 architecture and utilizing a 28nm production process.
Not only that, but the LTE module is baked into the SoC, which makes the LTE radio a much smaller drain on battery.

No one here is going to argue that the nexus doesn’t have worse radios than the razr. All he was saying is the nexus actually displays your 4g signal strength while the razr displays 3G signal strength even when on 4g so it’s possible that the razr is just barely holding a signal as well. However it probably has a much better signal than the nexus as I know as a nexus owner that the nexus has awful radios.
