This is the WORST phone I ever had. Four replacements already and all come with the same stupid bugs being the ones that annoy DA HELL OUTTA ME the stupid and constant internet connection drop and the incessantly rebooting. I can't use this peace of crap like 75% of the time... Believe me I wanted to like this phone because of the 4G capability, big display, processor speed etc, but it has proven to be the biggest piece of junk EVER... Can't wait to get the new iPhone or any other reliable Android option but now I am afraid any Android will come with some non-fixable issues like this one. I am not an apple addict at all but the iPhone 3GS was a way more reliable piece of equipment...

I am having a similar issue. I haven't had 4G since the update. It will occasionally get 3G, but just hangs and drops down to 1x. Since Monday, I've been on 1x about 95% of the time. It was working perfectly before that. I did a reset in Dec after having a big issue with reboots (about 5-6 a day).

I really don't see why some carriers release an update that's NOT what everyone wants. Wouldn't it be better to wait just a little longer, but it's actually ICS?

it's like when bands release singles, that are just 1 or 2 tracks, before their album comes out. Most of the time both tracks will be on the album. Yet they expect both the album AND single to sell well. I don't get it.

I wrote to HTC directly on April 27th to inquire whether or not the TB and Rezound would get ICS. Their exact reply was "
HTC Rezound will receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update but we do not have an ETA. However, the HTC Thunderbolt is not on the list as of now to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update."

Well, connectivity has been a major issue with my Thunderbolt, so this is a welcomed update. Unfortunately I had already given up on it due to those issues and just ordered a Droid RAZR yesterday. It was my only problem. Once I installed Green Power Free, I no longer had issues with my battery. I liked everything else about this phone, but the connectivity would drop several times a week - at the most inopportune times. Extremely frustrating! Who knows, maybe I'll return the RAZR within the 30 days if I see big improvements on my TB after the update.

It was said that the T'bolt was going to get ICS right?

So why this, not that I think it's a bad thing for an update, updates are always good, so long as they bring more good than bad.

Why in this timeframe though, would you release another GB update to this phone?

Omg the device resets still exist. Wow. Sorry for who still has that problem. I remember the march 2011 update ( was it march?) that was supposed to fix the original problems with the phone, but it made the phone almost unusable because it made silent resets at least 3 times a hour. Any update is welcome.
