First I want to say, from a business perspective, Verizon is not going to deny sales of one of the hottest phones in the market. They wont make that mistakes twice (like the time they mistakenly denied the iPhone). This would bring in many potential customers which are attracted to the device.

Second, Samsung wants to top sales by making its device #1. By making it available on all the carriers it is expanding its ability to do so. It is already rumored that Verizon will be getting the SGS3.

Its rumored but most likely it will be true. Just like the HTC One X, the LTE radio in the US is 'incompatible' with Exynos quad-core chip, which is complete bs. If they even bothered to deal with this they could have made it work. They got the Korean version of LTE to work with their quad-core chip so why not the US version? I think they took the lazy approach and figured they would save a lot of money on it. The international version will be launched with quad-core but here in the US we're screwed.

Think of having more cores like having more lanes in a highway. Its not that you go 2x-4x as fast, you just get more traffic or processes done, shorting up your commute or in this case compute time.

It's very hard to know that YES the Verizon Galaxy Nexus will always be the STEP CHILD as far as Google is concerned. Now that they are selling the actual GALAXY NEXUS that should've been sold originally for 399 plus tax I might just make that dive myself and place it on T-Mobile. Verizon will never keep up with the updates anyway because they don't want the GALAXY NEXUS to appear to be better than the other android devices on the same network. Plus everyone already knows that all Verizon cares most about is there DROID DEVICES and the Razr devices. HSPA+ should be good enough for daily use plus just knowing jellybean is right around the corner is just enough push for me to make a carrier change. A person should not have to root and rom the device if they don't want to and at least with Verizon out of Google's way now updates will come DIRECTLY FROM GOOGLE just like it was suppose to be in the first place. Verizon will NEVER TREAT the GALAXY NEXUS as a top device on there network because they will push all those other bloatware inflated devices before the Gnex. My galaxy nexus still has great value and I will just sell it before making the change. Plus I will also probably jump on that GALAXY NOTE with ICS that will also appear on Tmobile within the next month I always wanted both the GALAXY NEXUS and GALAXY NOTE.

Yep, they will opt for it. Its probably a pretty safe bet that they are already working with Samsung to change the casing, the battery, the dimensions, possibly the radio, and then they will test... For at least 3 to 4 months.

It would be cool if Samsung would just release an LTE alongside the non-LTE versions and sell it unlocked on its website.
