I got an OS update pushed to my DroidX and the phone turned into a paperweight for a day an a half until I figured out that the new OS was incompatible with the memory card and/or the card’s contents. I removed the card and the phone again worked – I received notice of several missed calls and dozens of texts once I came back “online.”

A co-worker was away for training and started having issues, went to a local VZW store out west and they couldn’t help him except to sell him a new phone, but suggested to buy a new memory card because the old one will not likely work in the new phone, hmmmm.

I reformatted my “old” memory card and re-installed it, phone still works. However the update has caused some apps to not function properly, alarm clock to only sometimes make the waking sound that makes it an alarm clock, ring-tones and sounds downloaded from Zedge.net no longer work, and the battery life has decreased drastically – all in a matter of 2 days.Very frustrating.Funny how this all came about within a week of Verizon urging me to take advantage of my eligibilty to upgrade to a 4G phone with a discount. Me paranoid? Nah.

Sorry man, that’s a bad argument. I loved my Bionic. Only reason I gave it up is my brother busted his OG. Yeah the camera sucked balls, but never have I had better call quality. Battery life was quite good too which was a surprise. And Blur really does not deserve the hate it gets. Ever use TouchWiz? Yikes. We don’t all by smartphones for screens friend. The only purpose an badass screen serves is for lots of video watching. If that’s your thing, get a Rezound or Nexus, but don’t blindly hate on a perfectly good phone that didn’t get the love it deserved. And yes, I own a GNex, but it is NOT the be all, end all of Android phones. Sorry, not with that battery life and signal quality. Great phone otherwise though, due to the software.

Agreed friend. I don’t get this either. The phone envy is just dumb. All of these devices (RAZR, MAXX, Rezound, and GNex) are great devices in their own right. Yes, they all have flaws here and there, but what phone doesn’t? My GNex signal is crap, and the battery life is atrocious, even with the extended battery, but still, I love the thing because of pure ICS, as well as other features, so I can deal. I like Moto too (yes, WITH Blur), having had the OG and Bionic. I’m seriously considering the Fighter if it has the Maxx battery and HD screen. They all have their pluses and minuses, but the bottom line it that they’re ALL ANDROID, which is the point, and why we’re here. What happened to the community mentality? Stop with the trolling, peeps. There is no one phone to rule them all, and certainly not the Nexus (like I said I own one and can speak from experience). Great device, but not the best, guys. Take it easy.

lol way off topic. but your right. the calender doesnt say anything about the world ending. all it says is that the gods will return the last 2 or more scribes are gone with time. I guess the ironic thing about all this is the fact that how similar these moto rumors are to the myan rumors. if this keeps going people will go insane trying to crack the code. i believe moto is spending to much time on facebook asking what moto fans are doing/buying than actually working

I agree. I own a GNex, but I am always happy with the lack of Rezound owners shooting their mouths off. Y’all just lay back and enjoy your sick phone and let Moto/Sammy fans duke it out over nothing.
