OLED is not the future. Unless, like HDMI, you guys just don’t give a $#^& and let the industry shovel this garbage down our throats.

First off, it (OLED) is the answer to an industry problem brought about by the (long) lifespan of LCDs. “How are we going to keep selling TV’s if they are going to last 30 years?” OLED is how; provided marketing can convince people they want it. OLED, organic light emitting diodes, are designed to be tossed away. They start losing brightness from the moment they are powered up with the intention of you having to buy all of your devices (that use OLED displays) over and over again. OLED has a very rapid (engineered) decay.

Second, they are terrible at color reproduction. Contrast is out of whack and colors are over-saturated.

Third, OLED displays perform (very) poorly in sunlight/outdoors.

Just like this industry did with HDMI, where they convinced people that HDMI’s digital transfer was somehow “better” than DVI’s digital transfer so that they could sneak-in copyright protection circuitry to appease Hollywood, they are trying to pull the wool over consumer’s eyes with OLED.

If there is a bigger slim battery for the rezound, it will be a winner even though is using an old gpu.

Except various batteries are interchangeable between htc devices. Do a quick google search and you will see.

Maybe because they look the same but I doubt it. It’s not convenient for the manufacturer to allow that. HTC messed it with that small battery. Are you getting the rebound? This one is looking better than the nexus.

Oh some of you will complain about anything. Oh, it has great battery life but the thickness kills it for me. Oh, its so thin I can slick a cake with it but the battery life is horrendous. Wah, wah, wah.

Honestly, there’s no pleasing some mobile users out there.

I put 100 dollars that my phone wont randomly reboot and have no lag. (well not insufferable lag, phones as well as computer tend to lag)

on the aesthetics side, i love the buttons. chop that up with a matching case, and bam, you got some sexy going on, now if the headphones were all red, you could make a fashion statement with that. Thus why i believe it was geared towards the masses.

For the life of me, i cant seem to get used to seeing those red buttons. When i see that phone, I imagine it with stock running (it’ll get it eventually) and i just cant see that as an attractive feature once you leave sense.

Although, I have fallen for HTC’s button gimmics before, I do own an Incredible 2 (OOOH, THEY ROTATE).
