That’s because the people at Google rushed honeycomb out the door and cut corners. Now they have redeemed themselves with Ice Cream Sandwich and they got it right. They hit it out the park with Ice Cream Sandwich and set a new standard for themselves.

The question is how long can Apple ride this old outdated iOS even with the added features that iOS 5 brought? The UI is the same since 2007 and I think that they need to go another route by design but I don’t think they will.

How is it a failure because it didn’t sell like the ipad? You need to get a life. Apple isn’t the Standard that you measure every device by. Android and Apple are targeting to different audiences.

Keep waiting… Maybe Motorola will get around to it. This is something that irks me about Android. Google announces ICS. You MIGHT get it within 6 months time. The rollout for Gingerbread on phones was so slow it was disheartening. I’d love to see a Google Nexus tablet, where I can get updates straight from Google. I guess you could always use Cyanogenmod or something, as the source for ICS, unlike Honeycomb, will be released.

Like what? Few apps, lack of speed – despite what was supposed to be a speed demon of a CPU/GPU marriage, jerky feel to the OS, crappy screens, underdeveloped as of Honeycomb…yadda…yadda…yadda… Look, I’m all for Android and look forward to some good products down the line, but this first gen was a disappointment…PERIOD!
