I called VZW and asked what happens if I buy a VZW phone through Radio Shack (to get the $100 incentive), and then have a problem with it. They said I’d have to bring it to Radio Shack for service. I can already see the two companies pointing fingers at each other, and I’m stuck holding a phone that doesn’t work. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Uneducated? Are you serious? Full price doesn’t go down until atleast a year later and verizon is always more expensive that is known. My point still stands that the price up front is so small compared to what you will pay over the life of the contract. If you can’t afford it then go buy a cheaper phone or buy it from somewhere else.

Looks like both the Charge and the Thunderbolt can be had for $150 with EITHER new contract or upgrade. Good deal.

That’s probably the most uneducated comment I’ve read on this blog. Obviously they “pay” for phones. Also, which may not be obvious to you, they mark up these prices significantly. It’s been about 5 months since the Charge was released, yet still full price. But wait, RadioShack, Best Buy, Target, Amazon, they all offer a cheaper price. But why? Hmm. Could it be Verizon trying to shake you down for more money? No way, not them. That’d be like charging you $30 for 2GB of data.

This ends the 15 so anytime after that or during that we could see new phones. They want as many sales as they can get they will probably have this or another offer once the other new phones come out.
