You know you’ve been following the smartphone industry longer than I have how? Exactly?

Alright, I was wrong about Sprint’s model number, doesn’t mean I’m wrong about what I said. If the Nexus 3′s model number is the same or similar on the other carriers than it is doesn’t make sense for Samsung to change the model number for Verizon. Either way we shall see but I’m not holding my breath knowing how much Verizon likes to control all their phones and load their bloat onto them (not to mention has turned down both previous Nexus phones) which I doubt Google would allow.

GT-I9023 isn’t CDMA, that’s T-Mobile. Samsung and Sprint’s websites clearly show SPH-D720 for the CDMA/WiMax Nexus S. Very similar to every single other CDMA device Samsung has ever shipped for Sprint, including the GSII (SPH-D710) and Epic 4G (SPH-D700).

Sorry bud, but I’ve been following the whole smartphone game a hell of a lot longer than you.

If it were just going to be Verizon’s version of the Nexus 3 it would have a similar model number to the Nexus that the rest of the carriers will be getting. All rumors point towards it not even having the Nexus name which strongly suggests it will be a Samsung product without Google’s support but will have specs between the GS2 and Nexus Prime. Sorry bud.

I still think this is a Hoax. Its the Enlighten that is supposed to be taking place of the ally! Its already in the Verizon Magalog! But I really am excited to see the Prime when it comes out!

I’m pretty sure the Nexus S for Sprint was made by the same manufacturer as the Nexus S for AT&T. Still had different model numbers though.

First of all, there is no precedent for a Verizon Nexus model number, so the rumored model number (SCH-515) of the Verizon Nexus Prime means absolutely nothing in terms of who will handle updates. Obviously it will have a different model number, since it will be the only one running CDMA/LTE. Just as Sprint’s Nexus phones have had different model numbers than the same Nexus generation on other carriers.

Again, there is nothing to back up your comment.

The Fascinate dropped in price, but Verizon is waiting for a cold day in hell to drop the price on the Charge. It’s unneccesary for that phone to be $300 on contract.
