Verizon waited too long for the Bionic. How can they expect a true smartphone user to accept 1.0 ghz with 1.5ghz around the corner and Ice Cream alsways taste better than Gingerbread.

IF verizon gets a nexus device (BIG IF) They will lock the bootloader down. I mean, the Xperia play is basically stock android with bloat added, but they removed the ability to unlock the bootloader.
I see no reason for Verizon to change their ways now.

Wifi Explorer. GREAT program.
Agreed on most everything you said except stock android being boring, but that’s just me. Root is great. The phone will get that within a week (If not a day). The rest is fun to play with.
I will wait and confirm one thing before I buy another phone: BATTERY LIFE.At this point, almost any phone released has good enough specs on paper, I would just like to be able to use them more than 3 hours straight (STUPID Thunderbolt…)

Yeah we’ll see what the limits are for these processors. One could overclock far more than the next, depends on the architecture and how close to the limit the OEMs are driving them. Btw, just because a processor is higher clocked doesn’t mean it will be faster. Or do you still think a 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 is faster than a 2.4 GHz i7?

Yes, when we overclock the phones that will be coming out with dual 1.5′s we will be screaming fast!

And yes I guess you can overclock the dual 1′s to try and keep up for a little bit.

So i’m torn on whether to get this phone when it comes out or wait for something better. One thing that I really like about this phone that i’m not sure other phones will have is the rumored amazing battery life that make the TBolt look stupid. MotoUI looks nice from what I’ve seen but the bloatware is a downside. On the other hand I don’t mind stock (have a OG Droid) and getting updates quickly has been one thing that I would love to partake in. I have recently rooted my Droid but root isn’t a deciding factor. Looking for a larger screen with a qHD display or better ( 720p would be awesome) but i’m not to crazy about the 4.5″ screen. I love the Samsung displays but dislike the plasticy build quality that Samsung provides but would possibly trade that for gs2 thinness. Thickness isn’t a concern as long as its thinner than my Droid that has a slider. Want a good camera don’t care as long as it takes nice pics. 4G LTE is a must for my next phone. I live where its available and want the faster data speeds. I would hate to wait for the Nexus Prime (3rd gen nexus phone) and it not have LTE or be on Verizon. Whats everyone’s thoughts? Anyone in the same boat as me? Not sure if this is the right spot to post this.

It seems funny that there is no comparisons to any of the HTC devices. This not the only time Verizon hasn’t includded the HTC decves. Hmmmm

HTC also seems to be giving Moto a run for it’s money espically on the other carrier networks and those devices are doing quite well. I will say the TBolt even though it’s not daul core is very fast but has had issues on Verizon. I am seeing a fact that most of the issues are coming from Verizon.

If your curious what its like, look at a Droid 3 or Photon 4G. Both of those have the latest MotoUI.
