The funny thing is i totally agree with you, i honestly could care less about 4G because it will be nowhere near me for over a year. I’d prefer my next device not to have it so i can get through a day on my battery. But i don’t understand what your comment has to do with mine at all. Im pretty sure when your dialer and pretty much all apps on the phone are force closing when you try to access them theres something wrong with the device, not the network

Just because they killed of New Every 2 does not mean they’ll stop allowing people to be grandfathered. In fact, my uncle is still sitting on a $100 NE2 discount from his last contract… that ended in 2008. On 7/6 I gave him my Samsung i760 so he could put unlimited data on his plan before that was gone, and he was still on America’s Choice 300… that’s America’s Choice I… from like, 2001. He didn’t have to change his calling plan but we did anyway to keep the data plan available when he gets his Android phone.

So, they will keep you on whatever plan you are on as long as you don’t change anything.

Damn tiers? More like damn tears.

I bet they will not continue the grandfathered-in unlimited data plans forever. The eventually killed off the New Every Two discount, so expect the unlimited data plans to go away after a year or two as those renewed contracts expire. I also bet if you do not renew your contract, then at some point they will force you from an unlimited plan to a tiered plan.

The best thing to do is vote with your dollars and give VZW the heave ho.
