I just found this site and would like to know if anyone else has had the problems I have with my Droid 2 Global. I keep it in my uniform shirt pocket and frequently when I pull it out and try to use it, the icons will fail to respond to my touch. Or the whole screen will start vibrating, jumping around to different screens as if some invisible finger was pressing icons. I traded the first one in, under warranty, and the “new” (reconditioned) one they sent me does the same thing. I mentioned that I keep it in my shirt pocket because the only thing I can think of as to why two different phones had the same issue is possibly due to being effected by my body heat. Just yesterday I had the third phone activated, and I haven’t yet had the same issue, but then I haven’t been back to work from my weekend, so who knows what will happen when I once again store it in my shirt pocket.

i cant really see the pixels as much as everyone claims they can. you have to really scrutinize the screen to notice it imo….but then again aside from the og droid, motorola has never been cutting edge in terms of screen quality. my wifes old fascinate still looks better than anything motorola offers, through verizon at least.

lol my og droid looks much the same. just recieved a droid2 global for free in the mail today so i’ll see how it holds up. i bought my original droid ultra cheap when right after the 2 came out, and it held up for less than a year and slowed down significantly. hoping the 1.2 ghz processor and a gingerbread update will cure said woes.

I live in a Droid vs iPhone household. I’m one of those who prefer the keyboard. I can tell you in a side-by-side comparison, in places where Verizon doesn’t even officially admit to providing 3G coverage, the iPhone picks up a signal while the Droid is playing solitaire.
Does anyone have a clue whether the Droid3 has any different technology that will allow it to pick up 3G better?

most people just like complaining.. I had an OG since day 1, moved to a DX day 1.. did the ROM thing since forever it seems like.. and blur2.0 is better than every ROM i’ve ever used… root it, get rid of bloatware, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything, in fact I haven’t, I’m still running the first blur2.0 GB leak for the DX and haven’t looked back

I don’t know how anyone could want stock over blur 2.0, it is beyond me… cityid, end a call from the noti panel, clear noti’s individually, pulsating green bar while in a call, customizable car dock/multimedia dock, search contacts while simultaneously dialing, built in DLNA, geotag.. and it all WORKS without having to update a rom every night.. bloatware yes, that sucks, but other than that it is awesome

P.S. I HATE BLUR 1.0

The OG Droid physical keyboard is terrible. I still use my OD Droid every day, and I stopped using that pathetic slide out keyboard 3 months after I had the phone. I would have prefered a decent physical keyboard over the touchscreen virtual keyboard, but the OG Droid keyboard does not cut it.
