I got mine a couple of months ago under the same premise. They sent me a pamphlet in the mail. It was $149. I had to call it in and be on hold for a while while they checked the offer but they did send it to me. I pay the same for my 4G as I did for my 3G. Pretty sweet offer. And a sweet phone. Believe me when I tell you that it's fast. The screen is nice and big. Battery life not that great but it's easier to deal with when you can download 150 mbs in 90 seconds.

The loyalty discount applies to the new every two grandfathered contracts. If you haven't upgraded in over two years or so you are eligible for the upgrade if you had upgraded sooner it could be $50 or $30 "loyalty" discount. I tried two verizon stores and neither would budge

I've been with Verizon for 9 years and have had countless phones, my most recent was an HTC Incredible on launch day paying the full retail of over $500.00 to have it the day before launch.

Well, today I received my THIRD (yes, third) replacement phone for the same random rebooting issue that I've had from day one. I take excellent care of my phones, understand the OS, and have an extensive background in tech devices - not to mention a degree from PSU in information systems - so please, give me the benefit of the doubt that I'm not 'breaking' my phones.

The third boot looped from the first touch of the power button. I called customer service with a mission to get this deal or a NEW Incredible for all my trouble. HA! The BEST they could offer was a refurbished Droid X if I paid for the battery and the back cover for about $40. The lady responded to the $99 like I was asking for a loan on a BMW or something - I could hear it in her voice. I was disgusted. I will admit I should have asked for a supervisor but honestly, why should I have to? Don't you think a FOURTH replacement on a phone I was loyal enough to buy day one was enough?

Replacement four arrives tomorrow - I told her point blank if it doesn't work then they lost my business for good. It's even more frustrating being as I live in western PA in an area dominated by Verizon (especially in the more rural areas) and any other option is most likely going to be lower quality network wise - and maybe they know it.

I've stood up for this company for the last time.

We got our mailing via physical snail mail. Our "private sale" was the TBloat for $199.99 plus a $50 loyalty credit, but only for the main line. Not sure if that "loyalty credit" is the same as the $50 "new every two" credit that we already accrued, or if they'll stack, or if they'll just ignore it all together. There were also several cheapo free phones, but I think those are the same as the free phones on the VZW site. (I did not bother checking.)

So all-in-all my review of the "private sale" would be "What a crock of shite!" ... But kudos to those who did nab the $99.99 price! I would have loved that.

yea, like I said, I'm not much of a fan for the Tbolt. Going back to Froyo after running GB on my OG Droid is gonna suck.... but for the price, I figure I might as well try it, and I'm getting sick of hitting the wall on my Droid... I am a power user, and I've been feeling the pinch from the OG's limited RAM and internal storage for quite awhile...
