The Xoom has built in VPN and encryption as well. The prices are exactly the same (32 GB Tab 10 is $600 just like the Xoom). The screen is the only advantage and I doubt the Tab 10 has as good a build quality as the xoom.

When I have a phone that can do voice, data and tether at the same time I’ll agree with you. Until then tether is just annoying. Annoying enough I rather have a cheap data plan for when I am not in WiFi range than tether.

No SD card … no interest. Hoping the ASUS Transformer is not a bust and gets more availability soon. If it lives up to the hype it’s the deal. Otherwise – based on what Gartner & a gazillion other analysts are saying: my strategy of waiting until September to see how the dust settles on all these different tablet makers should leave some unsold inventory discounted on otherwise quality hardware… soon. Because tethering is a PITA. Who seriously wants to pull their phone out all the time to get on the net when they are on the go? I love having 3G on my Xoom, makes life so much easier and $20 a month is not breaking the bank.

Why is everyone going gaga over this thing? It’s the same hardware as the Xoom just in a slightly thinner and lighter package. Not impressed.
