Don’t worry wifi users. I just bought the XOOM wifi version yesterday and today it prompted me and updated to 3.1. BUT no netflix.I’m thinking about canceling my subscription. They are dead ducks and don’t realize what they are missing out on. I think the owner is on Steve Jobs 00′s LOL. For now I will learn to love Crackle.com till they figure out who the important customers are. I rather give my money to someone who gives a sh*t. what they are missing out on. I have xoom whit wifi, I don’t have any contract whit verizon and I got the 3.1 update today and makes my xoom very very fast on everything I love it, but sucks that the micro SD still not working

I have a 3G Xoom, am going into SETTINGS>ABOUT TABLET>SYSTEM UPDATES. Says:

Your system is currently up to date
Last checked for update at 9:01am.

There is not a button to “check now” and I tried the reset by pressing POWER+VOL-UP, it rebooted, still has the 9:01am update check.

Anyone know another way to get it to check?

This is where a PR over takes common sense. Had they said “coming in the next couple weeks” and left off “starting today” they would have avoided the perception of typical update chaos. Assuming there aren’t any significant number of units updated in the next 12 hours this is just them fueling the fire that the process is broken and lends less credibility to their quick update pledge.
