You have to download and install the Google apps .zip. I’m unsure why they do this, but I was having the same problem and my brother-in-law pointed me to them. Here is a link to their wiki and a download link. Cheers.

Not sure if you’re going to get this or not, but CM7 wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. I ran it for 3 days and then switched to liquid. So far so good. I’m liking it.

If anyone is interested, 7.0.2.1 is out and supposed to have fixed the video recording problem. Remember to also download and install Google Apps, even if you aren’t doing a wipe, and make a backup first!
