Thom, I agree with you a 100%. The iPhone and TB customers are 2 different target markets. I made this same commit on another forum yesterday. Verizon can’t be that dense? They have to know this, don’t they? If not, they need to fire their marketing department.

Like I said yesterday, who on this forum is going to buy an iPhone? We want the TB right? A no brainer.

I also believe that Apple is calling the shots on the marketing of other devices through Verizon. Like they said something to the effect, you can’t promote any new phones until the iPhone has been released.

I can also understand how Verizon wouldn’t want these two phones coming out on the same day. The retail staff wouldn’t be able to keep up. It would be a nightmare for them.

Yes, these agreements exist, but anti-consumer agreements aren’t limited to Apple products.

Has anyone noticed that their local Verizon stores are opening at 7am on the 10th of February? My guess is in anticipation for a what I assume Verizon believes will be a stampede of iPhone customers? Are that many sheople getting the iPhone?

Does anyone think that Verizon will open early on the 14th to sell the TB?

Exactly!!!! You think big name companies like Best Buy and Amazon would be telling us the 14th and they dont know the true release date??????? It’s VZW way of telling sorry we cant tell you til after the i*hone is released. Probably a contract with Apple.

It will be a great device and will be perfectly acceptable for 90% of the people in the market(just made that # up, but I bet it’s close). qHD and dual-core are nice, but not game changers yet. Beside that you still have to deal with a lame UI in Motoblur. If you like rooting or a clean UI, the Thunderbolt is for you, if you like raw specs and locked bootloaders then go Moto.
