I also have the phone with a pink case and it looks like a regular droid only I got the extras! Everybody recognizes the ring tones and thinks its cool! Im not a nerd and never have been! Im a 21 yr old female with a good job and im in school. I like a variety of things especially things that are different from what everyone else has! Not interested in an iphone or blackberry! Boring!

Lol i read this earlier and laughed at the comments. But i just got off the phone with asurion after they replaced my OG Droid that i dropped into a lake with another (faulty) OG Droid. So the lady on the phone offered me a Star Wars Droid 2 so i wasnt pissed off. It was either that, a droid eris, or an OG droid again.

So i took the R2D2 for the extra RAM. Dungeon Defenders here i come

It’s just a special edition of the Droid 2; it should get Gingerbread if the Droid 2 / D2G get it, which I would fully expect them to. Furthermore, if for some stupid reason they didn’t release it for the R2D2, the R2D2 can be flashed with the Droid 2 firmware.

Look at selling prices of Droid 2 / Droid 2 Global / Droid R2D2 on ebay; out of the physical keyboard Android phone available on Verizon, the Droid R2D2 has the highest resale value – I don’t know about you, but I find that pretty cool…

umm I don’t know anyone older than 10 who would think it’s cool. nice idea, executed well. I wouldn’t mind having the star wars theme, but not a droid painted on the back.
