There’s a lot of HTC hate here and for what? Doesn’t seem to make too much sense in that regard. Anyway people need to stop complaining about this not competing with the Xoom. Not everything made has to be high end. Having something in the mid range is great for the general consumer. Besides I’m sure there’s some business deal behind the scenes as to why HTC hasn’t made something to compete with the Xoom yet. Give them time and they’ll have something great.

I would love a strong powered 7 inch screen tab. just use it as a remote for the various apps out there ie youtube, gmote and so on. Plus with blue tooth connect my wii mote to it an play some Snes and sega. Nice size to carry in a cargo pants pocket without sticking out. Plus i could use it as a little photo frame on my work desk.

Looks like HTC is trying to rach the low hanging fruit, meaning consumers that will purchase a less exspensive tablet with a lot less. This looks like an over grown HTC phone minus the phone but with a possible front camera. This willnot be my next toy, I thought HTC would step into the ring as a contender, but sadly just another street bum trying to compete with the ranked fighters

The 7″ size is good for women who might carry it in a purse, while still adding a lot more screen real estate than a 4-5″ smartphone. I’ll probably buy one of these or something like it for my mother-in-law. She wants to be able to, for instance, look at and edit a shared google calendar on the go but she wouldn’t carry an iPad sized device. A regular smart phone is justa bit too small for her to type on comfortably.

Is it a possibility that Motorola has some special deal with Google to access Honeycomb before anyone else? It doesn’t seem like honeycomb is openly available anywhere yet, nor has that been alluded to being so in the near future. I sort of expect a fleet of tablets (like this one) to come out initially with 2.3 while they wait for an upgrade to 3.0

I’ll probably get the Xoom. But I have no intention of ditching my OG Droid. Fully rooted, customized, and tinkered with…just the way I like it thank you very much…and apparently, just the way Motorola doesn’t like it on their phones nowadays.

They don’t have any Tegra devices because they never will. HTC uses Qualcomm chips.
