I updated to Virtuous’ stock kernel. It is the same updated kernel used in the November OTA. but you won’t get the update notification anymore and will still have root.

Well the download the leaked OTA which has root. Install that and you will be upgraded, you won't get the update notification anymore and will still have root.Thanks for sharing with us

the good folks at unrEVOked have tweeted they should have a fix for the OTA break in a couple days:
"Incredible people stuck w/ new OTA: we have a fix in the pipe for you; expect a release in a day or two. EVO folks: temporary fix on XDA."

I don't expect them to come out with an update right away, but how about coming up with a notice on their site when you try and download it for the Incredible. I tried for HOURS to get unrevoked to work, only later for someone to point out on some random forum that it was the OTA update.

From stock Froyo, rooted by unrevoked forever (S-OFF), I updated to Virtuous’ stock kernel. It is the same updated kernel used in the November OTA.

Then, when I received notification of the OTA, it tried to install, then nothing happened. Haven’t seen the update nag since. Must have recognized the kernel.

I’ve now updated to Virtuous 3.1. I think this has the November updates minus the bloatware. Added the VWare.apk to check out if there was anything of interest…nope…and then uninstalled.

Rooting FTW!
