My local Best Buy is offering the presale, however their computer does not show my account eligible. Even thought Verizon is allowing anyone eligible for an upgrade through 12-31-2010 to do so early, Best Buy apparently cannot do so

i was told when i pre-ordered mine during the first round of pre-orders that the paper they have you fill out is scanned into the system and the SKU# is sent to inventory….that guarantees you the phone. They'll call you a few days before the release to schedule a pickup so you wont have to deal with the lines and the crowd on launch day. I asked at 2 different best buys and they both said that it would guarantee a phone but ive been reading on some sites that best buy isnt doing guarantees. Anybody have info on this ???

I have the answer for best buy, but I do not represent the company nor am I speaking for them. They did stop the presell, but they have not informed the employees exactly why. To my knowledge it is actually a hault from the manufactors, not best buy.

hi, i ordered a droid incredible as an upgrade and its coming through the mail still. i have already talked to verizon and i have to wait for my order to arrive (on 7/9) so that i can return it or refuse the delivery and be eligible for using my upgrade on another phone instead. do you think best buy will let me preorder today and pay upgrade pricing when the droid x comes out? because by the time the X comes out ill have already returned my incredible and gotten my upgrade eligibility back

I went to Verizon and got another battery and it allow me to go into android recovery and select a backup to restore my Rom.

I happened to be out of town (and away from the computer) the weekend they announced pre-sales. Got back and freaked out about being four days late, but I managed to get it pre-ordered. The next day I was back in BB, and was extremely happy when they guy told us there were no more pre-sales. I knew going to BB first thing in the morning would pay off…and they called me crazy.
