Well i am familier with with the HTC IME keyboard…and i know its superb! but i was facing some problem in downloading HTC IME keyboard…thanks for the instructions!

You have to long press on a text field, swype will be selected but click on android keyboard. Then long press again and this time choose swype. That does the trick for me.

Doesnt work for my OptimusV . Downloads. When going to settings > language , only gives the default keybaords .

doesnt work for I5801.
download successful etc, but when i press inpupt type from a text field, i select touch input but nothing appears.
phone isnot rooted

I’ve since switched over to Swype and have been practicing as much as I can on it and I really, do like it a lot…so much so that I think it will remain my primary keyboard!!

What is the pathway to best uninstall the first set of htc files? I don’t want to lose this keyboard capability which is fantastic or screw up the droid. Thanks!

I really enjoy this keyboard more then the stock and I could never get the hang of swype, so I am going to stick with this for a while to really test it out. As far as a non rooted person, I enjoy the speech to text.
