A new device from American-based BLU has been unveiled, the Life Pure XL. Unlike most other BLU devices, this one should certainly turn a few heads, as BLU has thrown a few specs into this new device to even make the hardcore Android enthusiasts happy.

For starters, the device features a 5.5″ 1080p display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear-facing shooter, 8MP front-facing shooter, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Gorilla Glass 3, HSPA+ connectivity, and comes running Android 4.2 with a timely update promised to Android 4.4+. This might be BLU’s most spec-packed device, so it’s getting harder and harder to ignore these off-contract phones, especially when they are priced at just $399 off contract.

We have had hands-on with a couple of devices from BLU, but this might be the first one to actually get us somewhat excited. The only downsides we can see right off the bat are the capacitive buttons and the lack of 4G LTE connectivity. The buttons could be a personal preference, though.

Priced at $399 for the 32GB storage variant (with 3GB of RAM), would this device interest you? It is set to launch on Amazon tomorrow, May 2. A 16GB variant with only 2GB of RAM is set for release on May 9, priced at $349 in a wide variety of colors.
