Google just posted the new factory images of Android 4.2 (JOP40C) for the Nexus 4, Nexus 10, and Nexus 7 w/HSPA+. If you own or are going to be the owner of one of these devices, you will want to download these files and store in a safe place. You never know when you may need to restore your device to 100% stock after tinkering for too long. We have generic instructions for flashing factory image files here.
Download: Nexus 4 | Nexus 10 | Nexus 7 (HSPA+)

This update broke firefox and tons of Apps because of excessive memory
management. NEXUS 7 now a POS. FIX IT GOOGLE.
A factory image for the WiFi Nexus 7 is also available.
I’m really not impressed with 4.2.. I don’t like the lockscreen and the notification panel sucks.. The “springy” style panel is annoying if you want to close it, you have to wait for it to stop springing so you know where it stopped.. Yes, i can hit “home” but that’s not fluid..
Agreed on all points. I’ve been dragging down right in the middle for two years now on Android. I *like* having my notifications and settings in the same place. This is a breathtaking step backwards.
And yes, when I drag down past the end of the pulldown panel, it should simply stop moving. I don’t need an excruciatingly slow rubberband animation. It’s like my Nexus is criticizing me for swiping down too far. At least I finally have a compelling reason to root… shame, because JB was basically perfect until now.
why no yakju image ?
You can use takju image for your yakju device. Doesn’t matter. The only difference is takju has Google Wallet, and that won’t even show up on your device (takju image) if you’re not in the US. It’ll simply auto-disable Google Wallet. So it’s just like yakju.
Oh no, system is taking forever to flash.
must. not. panic.
If you’re a Nexus user, get the factory image for your device from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#takju … Google has posted them now.
Not for Toro..
Verizon’s Gnex images in 3…2… oh wait. I mean 32,789,234,162,132… 32,789,234,162,131… 32,789,234,162,130
decades
What about GALAXY NEXUS ??
Why no AOSP support for the Nexus 4?
I love the fact that DL is the only place that actually takes pictures of clean devices. It seems that all the other blogs dip their hands in 10w30 before they take pics or do the reviews. That is the first pic I’ve seen of a Nexus 10 without grease covering the back
Sexy, yeah? 😉
It looks nice. Sexy? No. The N7 looks better.
My Prime, despite it’s reception flaws, is sexy.
Kellex uses baby powder on his hands, it’s a proven fact.
I love news!
News is better than no news.
