Yep, we’re still talking minimalist styled clocks and you may want to brace yourself as this might not be the last one today. One of the newish ones featured a couple of weeks ago by us, Clockr, has returned to the market and now comes as an “Evolution” version.
The “Evolution” version is packed with all sorts of new fun stuff:
- Include the date with the clock.
- Multiple color options.
- Font size.
- Add a shadow.
- Transparent background.

Hi, I am the developer of Clockr. Firstly, thanks for featuring my Clockr widget. This is a really nice looking website. I am sorry that my old version had so many issues, that was the reason I removed it from the market. It was a very rushed project and I didn't expect more than ~100 people to download it (let alone the 22,000+ people that download it in the first 4 days).
So I have now made major changes since then and I think the application works great now. It does not suffer from any of the old issues (power drain in first versions and FC's in later revisions). As you can see in the screenshots, it has a lot of options for customisation now and I will continue to further improve on this widget where I can.
I have only added the date function to the donate version as a way of saying thank-you to the people who donate to current and further development of my widgets. I find this a better way than having a paypal account and not being able to give anything back to them in return. The regular version of Clockr is still packed with all the same features, just not the date.

I really do love the look of Clockr, but as others have said I had wayyyy too many FC issues…ill probably give this new version a go…heres to hoping it works like a dream!

Anyone else finding out that TypoClock doesn't stay synced with the clock? This is my favorite of these, but will probably uninstall soon if there isn't a fix for it.

I really liked clockr, but it kept FC'ing on my OG Droid with Sapphire 1.1.1 (bug report sent). I'll have to check out the new version and see how it works…
