To help kick off the launch of Ultimate Chicken Horse on Google Play for NVIDIA SHIELD, we have partnered with NVIDIA to give away an awesome prize package. Included is a 500GB NVIDIA SHIELD, 3 bonus SHIELD Controllers, and a redemption code for Ultimate Chicken Horse on Google Play. Seriously, if you have wanted a SHIELD, this is the ultimate bundle right here.
Ultimate Chicken Horse is the one of the best ways to play with friends on SHIELD. Supporting up to four players, players customize platformer levels with obstacles set to destroy their opponents, such as arrows and buzzsaws. The first player to cross the finish line, without taking too much damage, wins the game. With countless numbers of different blocks to add into a level, the amount of customization is insane. Watch this launch trailer for a good understanding of what you and your friends are getting into.
Enough talk, let’s give this stuff away. (more…)

In December of 2014, we showed you Minima Pro, a live wallpaper that we really, really enjoyed. The app allows users to create there own theme, as well as choose between plenty of pre-defined themes. Recently, an update was pushed out to Minima that lets users browse through user-created themes for wallpapers, bringing hundreds of different options right to your home screen.
To celebrate this update, we have been gifted 50 promo codes to the Pro version of the Minima app from the developer, and we are ready to give them away to our readers. Entering the giveaway is extremely simple, as we are using the Rafflecopter platform to make it fair and straightforward.
You can check out the app and the update by following the Google Play link. However, if you would like a chance at receiving the app for free and saving a couple of bucks, follow the instructions below. (more…)
Last week, we told you about this newish keyboard called Chrooma Keyboard. The keyboard stood out to us because it mimics the Google Keyboard, yet adds to the brilliance of Google’s keyboard by deploying an adaptive coloring scheme feature that automatically adjusts the color of the keyboard to the app you are currently using. It’s a fun trick that makes your typing experience that much more entertaining.
Outside of the color changing, Chrooma Keyboard also excels because you can add a permanent number row, adjust the keyboard’s size, and even allow it to adjust the color to a night mode when lighting is dim. It’s a really cool, yet simple keyboard. Today, we are doing just that.
After sharing our thoughts on Chrooma, the team behind it asked if we wanted to giveaway 50 promo codes for it to the Droid Life community. We, of course, said of course! (more…)
Waaaaay back in October, we featured an app called Backdrops, a wallpaper app with a Material Design focus that was pushing out daily ‘papers, collections, the ability to share your own with the app’s community, and an incredibly clean appearance. It’s a really nice wallpaper app.
This week, the team behind it released a big update that introduces Google sign-in, so you can now sync your favorites across all of your devices. This is one of those features that multi-device owners will surely appreciate. While unrelated in content form, this was my reason for switching to ParcelTrack for package tracking. Device sync is a big deal, especially as many of us migrate from device to device, whether that’s between personal devices only or work and personal. (more…)
Ummm, so, apparently you guys really like cases. What do you say we give away a bunch of the cases we have lying around the Droid Life offices to those that are in need of one? I just counted out a box full and I’m coming up with at least 80 that you need to take off my hands. Seriously, you can see them all in the image above.
Right now, I have a pile of cases lying in my office for phones like the Galaxy S6 and Edge (+ too), Note 5 and 4, LG G3 and G4, Nexus 6 and 5, and HTC One M9. I even have a couple of random cases, like an Incipio battery pack case for the original Moto X, an Alto leather case for the iPhone 6, and car charger/shell combo fo the Blackberry Priv.
The cases you’ll find in this giveaway are from your favorite case brands too, like Spigen and Ringke, but you’ll find some official Nexus cases as well. Some have been briefly reviewed or fondled for a few minutes, but most are brand new and have never been out of the box. I hope if you win one and it has been touched by a finger or two, you won’t mind. After all, it’s a free case.
So what do you say? Who wants a free case? (more…)
