Dumb question what if we revoke a token but then after a while want to go back to that client? Out of all the clients I’ve used so far, this one is far superior. I had been a long time tweetcaster user.

yes, because the architectural marvels of scale that they’ve performed on the server side are completely garbage….dude….take a chill pill… I agree, Twitter needs to get off their ass, I LOVED TweetDeck for years, but once they bought them it went so stagnant that it became not worth it. They do need to get some more focus on the apps themselves, but damn dude!

Anyone trying to re-install the app will be presented with the error that Twitter can’t authenticate any more users BUT if you contain your frustration you can click “Sign In” in the upper right hand corner of the app and still log in using the original authorized token you obtained.

If you got the error that Twitter can’t authenticate any more users for Falcon you’ll have to click “Sign In” in the upper right hand corner of that error screen. It’s insanely easy to overlook in our frustration upon seeing the error but if you already have a token you can still log in.

I was able to successfully restore my app+data using Titanium Backup Pro, twice after the token limit was reached. Also, it survived two reboots after restoring the data.

It was disappointing when Twitter announced the new set of restrictions a while ago, and even more so now hearing that Falcon Pro has hit the token limit.

One of the main reasons I feel Twitter became as popular as it has is because of the availability of third-party applications. It’s similar to the popularity of Android IMO, as there were tons of options for people to suit what they were looking for in a Twitter client.

The set of restrictions & API guidelines they have set up are a slap in the face to all the developers that helped make Twitter what it is now.

You would do an in-app purchase to unlock additional content, but check in on falcon pro servers to see if it can accept more users. You can’t hide a paid app and bring it back and not let people buy it.

How come Twitter doesn’t just purchase it from them? They seem to be doing nothing with Tweetdeck.

Still, that doesn’t get the issue solved. The only way to release and free the used token when trying is to go to your twitter settings page and “revoke” Falcon Pro access. That’s the only way the token will be released and sent back to the pool.

Sure not 60,000 are pirated copies but as an ex-Android user, I can say that the majority is pirated. Spotting an .APK, or possibly any .APK, isn’t hard. Google it.

SHI*************************! I was SO going to download Falcon Pro a few days ago, but I didn’t(too many other things going on at the time and forgot). DAMN…now WTF is the point?

Really sucks for the Falcon Pro devs though…wow.

Here’s what I would do if I were twitter.

Keep the current official app free and minimal.

Since you already bought Tweetdeck, begin development on that app with some of the features power users want. Sell that app for 99 cents.

Obviously people are willing to buy a useful twitter app. This should be a no brainer.

For me, auto generation of previously used hash tags and bitly integration are major missing features. Also, Plumes swiping through lists is a nice time saver.

I don’t use it full time but I’m not willing to give up my token. If/when the app updates, I want to be able to try it out, because I paid for it.

If I could get a refund, fine. I would revoke access. But the token limitation isn’t then fault of the end user who bought the app legally.
