Ugh. That blows. Thanks for the tip. I definitely will hold off on a N10 for the time being. I like the convenience of microUSB charging but I am not opposed to a faster proprietary solution also being available.

wow, these companies are all about raping on shipping fees, huh?Excalibur shipping is $9 for me and the link below shipping is $14. both make it over $50. get outta here. I was hoping to avoid getting it from Google with all the issues I’ve had with the Play Store, but screw this.

Seriously. It’s a piece of molded plastic with a USB adapter. They could pump out 1000 different variants to fulfill everyone’s tastes without flinching. This hunk of crap takes 5 months to come to market and costs $39.49 more than it does to make.

I heard the unofficial one makes no difference due to a power flow issue in the software. It still loses power while plugged in and in use. Very frustrating.

At least there IS an unofficial N10 POGO charging cable that reportedly does charge the device a little faster than the microUSB port.

I finally got to spend some extensive hands-on time with an N10 the other day and I was very impressed. It looks much better in person than it does in pictures and the screen is phenomenal. But I just fear that it is still too overpriced for an Android tablet and Google totally bungled its launch (no marketing, spotty availability and NO retail demo units prior to Christmas!!). These guys totally need to overhaul their retail/sales/support plan. If I were Google, to try and salvage the N10, I’d whack $100 off the 32Gb price immediately. EOL the 16Gb version and bring out a 64Gb version at the old 32Gb price. Rush a few official accessories to the market and start including a POGO charging cable in the box alongside microusb. Finally, get them into BB, Costco or Target or make those hillbillies at WalMart have properly displayed and functional N10 demo units.

Right now the local WMs have N10s in stock but NO shelf tags or display units. The local Sam’s has a display model N10 but no stock for sale.
