This the concept car of the phone world. I look at this as a technology demonstrator and not as something you will every be able to actually buy. As a technology demonstration, I have to admit that it is pretty cool.

Excited to see if they can use this technology to improve the durability around the current smartphone screens. Gorilla glass and other similar technologies make screen protectors virtually unnecessary….but a screen which could hold up more in the mechanical shock department (dropped phones, etc.) would be huge. Cracked screens has to be one the biggest reasons for unexpected phone replacements…

Hypothetically if Sammy teamed up with Gorilla glass, that would truly be unbreakable, no doubt. That would be an unbreakable flexible display with no bezel what so ever. I would prefer small slanted edges around the phone.

If you really wanna get crazy, throw a second screen on the back for ultimate customization and productivity.

Just thinking out of the box…

Why in the world would I want the edges curled up like that? Totally pointless. I need to *SEE* whats on the screen. I don’t need my buttons (or video) distorted around corners.
I don’t need to turn my phone… to see it.

Useless.

Every “curl” will be LESS usable screen space.

all you would have to do is put a “buoyancy” to the image, the image is always at the top most point of the watch band closest to your eyes as long as your hand is below your head where it should be.
