Verizon has been destroying Moto phones since the OG1.. Most phone buyers don’t know or care about software or hardware, Like sheep, they want to look like their friends which is why Apple is still in business. But history is littered with companies that use that marketing plan and eventually the word is out that they are screwing people. Apples day is coming. Right now, the iphone is popular with people who don’;t know $hit about technology.

In the late 60s, IBM had a duel processor named the 360/67. The current phone processors are duel core, meaning 2 or 4 or whatever cores in one processor.You could write multi-threaded code but you have no control over core or processor was used. Can you imaging the mess that would be created if each application could control the cores? That is the job of the operating system.

You’d really only be comparing the A15 quad core to the Tegra and Snapdragon. The second processor likely wont be active at the same time, similar to the companion core NVIDIA uses which is a battery saving design vs. power/speed.

I do like how you’re able to predict the future though. Might want to use that talent prior to posting..

Yes there is a difference. A9 is the old high performance architecture thats being superseded by A15. A7 is the budget/low-power architecture thats superseding the A8. The A7 is feature-compatible with A15, but designed for lower power applications, kind of like how the companion A9 in tegra 3 was built with low-power transistors
