I would say they are 256 AAC is equal to 320 MP3, but AAC uses less space.

My iTunes library is in Apple Lossless format. In the past, Google couldn’t upload them. Does the match feature work regardless of format? Thanks.

Question here…what if I record a low quality song off of FM Radio or XM, save it to my music folder and try to add it to google music. Will Google detect it and add the high quality song?

Do you have the Music Manager set to search iTunes for your music library? Also, keep in mind, Google Play Music has to have the same track available in their store before it will be added to your Google Music library. Anything that is still uploading doesn’t have the same tagged information as the same song in Google Play Music.

i added the new blink 182 ep and for some reason one track is missing, it wont upload.

It’s been so long I’d forgotten how long it can take to upload a lot of songs. These days I only upload 10-20 new songs at a time so it only takes a few minutes even with Comcast’s crappy 5Mbps ups (though I don’t think Google Music uploader was even saturating the data connection at that speed).

took me a total of about 14 days and that’s not all of my music. But i didn’t do it all at once either. only when i was sleeping or at work

Does not work for me with DRM itunes’ songs. In fact this whole scan and match process doesn’t do anything for me. All songs try to upload like before.
