Except for the part where the OUYA is very easy to mod… they could just make a new board and sell the upgrade part relatively cheap with the new processor and BAM, it’s back at the top of the line.

I hear gamestop has one you might want, but they “postponed” it since it was $399. For 200 bucks less than it’s only supposed direct competitior, i think this one is doing p good.

I have an HP touchpad, released a year and a half agowith a dual core processor (July 2011) and it runs GTA3, batman, max payne, all of my PS1 roms, and everything else I have thrown at it with no sweat. I’m not a big hardware guy when it comes to specs, but I would imagine that the GPU matters more in this case than the CPU, and the GPU they are using seems to be a very good one.

Another thing to keep in mind is that this is more for mobile gaming. Long drives, plane flights, it isn’t supposed to be a powerhouse.

Wow went on their website and all the screens are 1280 x 800… If i’m going to buy a tablet i want something higher than that. Not to mention their terrible processors.

I have an Archos 80 G9 and I don’t think I will get another device from them. It’s laggy, support sucks, build quality sucks, and it’s wholly unresponsive.

Archos would be one reason to not get it another would be 8GB of internal storage, where the hell are you going with that???? No way to move apps to the external storage = DO NOT BUY!

Free advice to any companies planning to make an android gaming device, make the specs ridiculously over the top so we can actually you know, be able to ply games on it…anything remotely gaming related cannot survive the market long with a dual core processor. It can be dual core all it wants but these are still mobile architectures, ironically that means they are extremely mediocre when it comes to processing power…sure games may look fine now but what good are these specs gonna do when in 6 months they’ll be pushed to their limits by the next set of games/apps…I’m no graphics whore but this era is moving too fast to not be bleeding edge, this is why the ouya will ultimately fail.
