I had to exchange the Rezound through Verizon’s Certified Like-New program due to software issues after the ICS update and after 3 replacement Rezounds the Verizon rep gave me the option to change and the only option he gave me was the Razr. I asked for the Razr Maxx explaining to him all the trouble I had went through plus how much it inconvenienced me to keep having to receive / send out devices every two days due to Verizon’s apparent lack of attention to detail on the refurbished units but no luck! He even said the GNexus was too “new” when it was released all of THREE days after the Rezound (this was in July-August). Basically it was get the Razr or keep the Rezound with its buggy ICS upgrade! I would have preferred the Rezound but it is more important to me that the phone actually work as a phone and can last an entire day without randomly restarting!

I have used many HTC phones in the past and they all sucked. Their touch screen was unresponsive and i never kept any of those phones beyond 3 days until the current generation of One X and One S. The One X and S have both been great phones with little to no weakness. I am looking forward to this DNA beast!

I like sense a lot, but I want the instant upgrade that AOSP/KP offer, HTC should really open source sense to make rom development easier. I bet they’d sell a lot more phones.

What we really need is an aspect ratio (with software support, naturally) wider than 16:9 to enable “tall” large-screened phones. Remember Acer ahowed a prototype 21:9 handset a while back? I agree completely with you, though. Remove all those nasty chins, bezels, branding and wasted space on the front and give me screen size + battery capacity.

Thanks, I used to have the Rezound and loved the older HTC sense but this updated one looks ugly IMO! It could just be because the background doesn’t match right and the widgets on the screen just aren’t my style (what the heck did they do to the clock widget, I used to love the one on my Rezound and my older Thunderbolt!).

What did you hate about the Rezound? IF you hate sense, why not put on launcher pro or go launcher?

The Screen, Camera, and Speed are great on the Rezound. Battery life is a bit below average, but you can buy a back up to throw in.
