I'm a big Android fan, but can see why one would want an iPad if they already own an Android phone. I had a Nexus 7 and absolutely loved it, but what's the point of having two devices with the same OS and software? Just know that you will be stepping into a much more locked environment and a company that likes to overcharge for things.

If you want a 10in go with the N10, you'll save yourself some money. Check out Current/Google Reader and see if you can get a Currents subscription or an RSS feed (for reader) for the magazines you follow. It's not as nice as a magazine app, but it does the trick. Plus with a dock+currents you can actually make use of that feature! (the one where it has your currents/photos whatever floating around, like a screen saver).

I was very much leaning to get the Nexus 7 which would sync well with my Android phone, but after I visited the Apple store and saw how much more real estate on the screen size you get on the iPad mini, especially for visiting web pages, I believe will make it a better experience for me. I am a big Android lover, but again for me personally, love that extra screen size. I would agree that if you are mostly going to use it for movies, the Nexus 7 is the better way to. If you don't get your own hands on the iPad mini and you are going to say how much it sucks or a rip off, then you are doing yourself a dis service.
