Oh for sure, I used to have the best luck with Franco kernel, but since JB dropped it’s just a stutter fest. Everyone has that magic combo where everything seems to come together.
Just pointing out that there are other ROM’s than CM and AOKP that offer just as many or all of the customizations those feature. Some of the best ROM’s and kernel’s come from the ‘smaller’ dev’s in my experience.

I’ve had random reboots every once in a while using BB 4.1.X on my GNex. I don’t know how rare this is, though.

I’ve been on BAMF and XenonHD. They were good but I kept finding myself wanting more. I customize just about everything that AOKP lets me and when I no longer have those options I feel the need to go back. So now I just stick with AOKP.

Honestly I tried a lot of roms too, but I’m tired of being a flashaholic. You have to remember, some roms run better on certain phones; basically YMMV. So just because you have good experiences with one rom, other people will have a totally different one….

i recommend CNA. AOKP Build 5 is good too

I tried so many builds of AOKP on ICS and JB and they finally gotten it pretty stable. Roms like Liquid Smooth, Sorcery and CNA were way smoother before but this new AOKP Build 5 is pretty good so far.

This. I love customizations of AOKP, CM10 and other roms but they are no where near the smoothness of BB

I build AOKP nightly, flash weekly when I see something good show up in gerrit. Or see something i want to cherry pick.
I use LeanKernel 4.4.0 stable and get between 2 and 3 hours of screen time (Auto brightness) per charge. Usually closer to 2, but I only worry about making it through the work day if I’m really bored.
No LTE, as I work in what seems to be a screen booth. 3G is spotty indoors.

Mine freezes after installing the Titanium update.zip file. Home and power button becomes unresponsive. Gosh I want it to work so bad.

Slim, Eclipse, BAMF, XenonHD are probably the main ones I switch between. Slim is by far the smoothest ROM I’ve ran, and since 2.8 dropped earlier today I’ll be on that for a bit. Well until Eclipse B2, and possibly BAMF Paradigm, drops later today and I might check those out.
Not sure why everyone is so hung up on CM and AOKP.. I’ve tried just about every ROM and there’s a reason I stick with the ones I do. Nothing against CM, AOKP, BB, RasBean etc. but expand your horizons people. You’re missing out.

Any particular settings with Franco? I tried Milestone 5 with defaults and literally watched my battery drop faster than 1 point per minute with the screen on.
