Cant decide between this and Surface. I feel like Windows will dominate tablets and Google the smartphone market, but my business relies heavily on Google Services but we need Office also. We need to purchase 500 laptops or tablets to replace our current Xp machines. What should I get?

If I didn't have three laptops already, I'd definitely be interested. I've got one for work, travel and one for fiddling with. The travel fits that category too. All my computers do actually.

I pre-ordered mine Friday through Amazon for the free shipping. (plus as of friday it was best buy, amazon or two other companies not google). Trading in my Xoom for it. The Xoom just wasn't what I wanted it for. This is more up my alley I think. I got a laptop for about the same price a few months ago for this purpose, but it wasn't portable like this (more like a text book) so this should be my bus/travel laptop now, I am quite excited. The price was too good for having the chrome experience. Plus if you void the warranty and have a partitioned SD card, apparently a Google worker got it to book Linux which could be quite fun.

How well does it work? I could see myself getting a Chromebook as my portable solution and having a solid desktop networked at home that has all the important stuff on it. Would I be able to easily work on Word or other documents on the desktop computer using this feature?
Also, any idea if Chromebooks support Onlive?

Personally, I'm deciding between MS Surface Pro and Asus Taichi. You may want to look into the Taichi. You'll have the choice of Core i5/i7. Check out the video.

I'm not interested in sliders, but the Sony VAIO Duo 11 will also give you the choice of Core i3/i5/i7.
