Somebody is going to get this and just use VOIP. They’ll win at instagram. They’ll lose at the my phone is thinner than yours contest. With gchat and fb chat, you could mostly gett away with using this as your go to.. not that its a good idea, but somebody’ll do it

On the new Mobile Share plans when you add on a tablet or hotspot for $10 per month their is no contract involved. This is a whole new category of connected devices but I doubt they would require contract on a camera.

The Samsung Galaxy Camera is going to wind up with one of the largest development communities on XDA because every dev there is going to scramble to be the ‘first’ one to install Cyanogen Mod onto this piece of sh*t, just for the laughing rights.

It’s just a small matter of time before all cell phones jump to 16MP phones. By then, Jellybean will be a pleasant memory and we’ll be well beyond Key Lime Pie, Lemonade, Mango berry, Nougat, and god knows what else… This is a very interesting idea, but I’m not certain I would want to buy a new phone every 2 years!

Sounds like a lot of people want it but don’t want to pay the data charges. Well get the wifi version then.

For me, this is perfect, with a 5 year old in kindergarten and participating in a lot of sports and other activities, I’m getting tired carrying around my smartphone AND my DSLR camera. While this will not come close to the quality of the DSLR, the 21x zoom will come in handy. Now I can just carry one device and worry about charging just one device.

Hope verizon will have a version of this.

Makes things simple. Last time I checked no one made a DSLR battery charger that works on a micro usb connection. this will reduce # of chargers needed, number of cables needed etc.
