Very interesting. Not the game, but the permissions. The free version lists “Google Play Billing Service” as a permission. Now I haven’t downloaded the game yet, but normally, well let’s say almost exclusively, that permission is used for In-App Purchases. So even if the game is “free” now, which I suspect it might not be. Having that permission in a game only means one thing usually, and that would be the game is Pay-To-Win. So even if everything is 100% free right now, you have to wonder what the intention is for this permission. Could it be that it’s free now and once there are enough downloads, the developer will revoke features to sell them back to the customer?

Also, even more telling that this might be another Dead Trigger in the making. Is the fact that there is a paid version of this game, and it also has the “Google Play Billing Service” permission, which is highly odd for a paid game and very suspect considering the shady character of most of the developers that Droid Life has featured recently. So I’m wondering since it’s a disgusting, unethical trend now for developers to sell a game, then turn around and remove features, or make the paid game free all of a sudden and remove features to sell back to the customer. If that is the very real reason this developer has IAP permissions in a paid game? I like dark humor games for sure, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to support another crooked criminal developer. Maybe the dev can explain the need for an IAP permission in the free and paid versions? Funny how it’s not explained in either app description.
