You don’t have to clear defaults when a new launcher is installed unless you accidentally set the stock back as default. But yeah, that’s what I do with most devices, or root them and flash an AOSP based ROM.

I do agree with you. Sony,Motorola and Samsung are better when it comes to video detail. Let’s see if HTC make a complete device with better batteries.

Motorola have not resolved the camera issues because they do not want to. They have the power to do it. They concentrate more and the build quality, radios etc. On the other hand Samsung and HTC are the ones making good cameras and display with cheap plastic, (small batter HTC are you listening?(
