These phones make a lot more sense now with the Share Everything plan, I’ll admit. Paying $30/month for data for this would be pricey; the target users won’t even use 1 GB.

Imagine getting stuck with that POS on a two year contract. No thanks. This should be a pre-paid phone, but Verizon does not believe in affordable pre-paid plans.

I didn’t know having a SnapDragon S4 processor counted as “low-end”, or is it JUST because it has a physical keyboard, which everyone unfortunately hates these days?
Also it has a 5-row keyboard, someone needs glasses.

Its mid 2012 and they keep “forgetting” to include a flash for the camera…I don’t get it, how expensive could a flash be?

I say this even as a big OMAP fan…..you cant go wrong with a S4 right now. But if you can wait another quarter for OMAP 5 I suggest that.

I must be tripping as I see 5 rows of keys and not 4.
Sure, it may not be the top of the line but not everybody wants/needs a so-called superphone. I may not be one of them but there are people out there that want a semi-decent but cheap phone. So this phone is more of a Civic than a Veyron -both have their market place and meet certain price/performance standards but that doesn’t mean the lower end one is automatically a POS.

Onscreen buttons are a huge plus. They can changed, be customized, the whole bar can be resized, etc.. but this phone has hardware buttons. Those are definitely capacitive
