Try the latest version of Jelly Belly with the recommended GApps. Get it on Rootz Wiki. Do a clean install and you should be golden. Move on to AOKP or CM10 later if you want.

I am completely new to this stuff. I am good wit computers but don’t really Understand much about programming (or its acronyms/ lingo). How doable is this form me?
Also, do I need to download this on my PC or can I just do this by using my GN’s browser?

It works exceptionally well. I’ve done it a couple of times, no issue whatsoever.
